VANTARE is an AI-visibility and positioning audit for expert-led businesses: coaches, consultants, and credentialed independent practitioners. It reads your whole website the way AI search engines do, names the opportunity your positioning is hiding, and shows you how to claim it. It recommends; it never touches your live site.

Who's behind it

VANTARE was built by Thomas G. Goddard, PhD, JD. His doctorate is in industrial-organizational psychology — the science of how organizations and the people in them are assessed, measured, and judged. His law degree adds the discipline of evidence: every claim a report makes is sourced.

The proof that this is his actual field, not a tagline: he spent years as a senior executive — Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel — of a national accreditation body, building the standards institutions used to decide which organizations were credible enough to trust. Deciding what makes an organization legible and trustworthy to an outside evaluator was the job. VANTARE applies that same judgment to a new evaluator: the AI search engines your buyers now ask first.

Why this matters now

Buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Google's AI, and Perplexity for "the best [what you do] for [who you serve]" before they ever reach your site. Those engines name the businesses they can read and corroborate clearly — and skip the ones they can't. Most expert-led sites lead with a generic promise and bury the real expertise, so the engine has nothing specific to cite and names someone else. The problem is rarely that you're not good enough. It's that you're not legible enough.

How the method works

• Whole-site read, not a homepage glance. VANTARE surveys your entire site the way a careful evaluator would — what you actually do, who you serve, and the adjacent business your existing expertise already unlocks.
• Two honest measures. A Beachhead Index (how much of the opportunity next to you you're already claiming) and an AI-Visibility Index (how readable you are to AI search). Both are VANTARE's own measures, stated plainly — not industry standards.
• A verdict, then the moves. Not a vanity score — a sourced read of what your positioning is hiding and the concrete, answer-first changes that make AI engines able to find and describe you.
• Recommend-only. You publish the changes; VANTARE never touches your live site.
